 “America's Oldest Summer Resort”

A title that dates back to 1770, when British Governor John Wentworth built his 4,300-square-foot summer mansion on Wolfeboro's Lake Wentworth.

During the off-season, Wolfeboro is a cozy community of a little more than 6,000 year-round residents. When the weather warms up (or the ice fishing derby is happening!), the population swells five-fold as second homeowners return to their vacation properties and visitors come to enjoy the area’s stunning beauty and plentiful activities.

Our 28-foot, mahogany, triple cockpit “woodie” is a replica 1928 Hacker-Craft that’s accurate down to the seat colors. Riding in the Millie B, you can experience the golden age of boating, when wooden boats ruled fresh water lakes.

You’ll see spectacular scenery and magnificent homes and boathouses (including the summer home of former governor and presidential candidate Mitt Romney). You might even spot a loon or two at the Loon Sanctuary – and maybe even see a chick riding on its mother’s back.

During the 45-minute tour, you’ll also hear fascinating stories from your Boat Captain about the lake’s history, geography, geology, and wildlife.  Plus you’ll hear about some of the more interesting people who live on the lake.

For more than a century, cruise boats have plied the waters of Lake Winnipesaukee. Today, one vessel, “The Winnipesaukee Belle,” provides passengers with the opportunity for relaxing public cruises and memorable private charters on the picturesque 72 square mile Lake Winnipesaukee.

The “Winni Belle,” as she is affectionately known, is a 65-foot replica turn-of-the-century paddle wheeled boat. Departing and returning to the town docks in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, also known as “America’s oldest summer resort.” The Winnipesaukee Belle provides passengers with the opportunity to see “the big lake” up close, including its shores, islands and the surrounding mountains. Two decks offer a choice of cruising outdoors under the canopy or indoors in our main salon both giving you the comfort that you deserve.
